[Understanding Microfiber] Microfiber is made of a blend of polyester and polyamide (nylon). The fibers are split during the manufacturing process to create millions of microscopic hooks. These hooks are what grab onto dirt, grease, and liquid. When you wash them incorrectly, you melt or clog these hooks, turning your premium cleaning cloth into a useless rag.
